  A terrible night. Took our daughter there for her birthday. Took 35 minutes for our meal, then husbands 'steakdiane' was not the correct sauce. Waitress took it out the back to return with it because the chef said it was the correct sauce and she didn't t want to argue with him. Husband said again he was not happy, that the sauce was wrong. Waitress took it away again returned 10 minutes later with another sauce poured back over the same piece of meat. Daughters meal was bland and tasteless. Family next to us had two meals bought out and the rest of the family had to wait 15 minutes for the rest of the meals. Another couple had their garlic bread brought out after their mains. When my husband went to pay, the female owner didn't want to hear about any complaints. Not at all apologetic. We won't be back.

  The food was like glug and not real italian food, we tried a couple of dishes and they both consisted of a weird glug/glutten texture of something you might see at a real bad Chinese restaurant, you know that stuff that hold it together? I imagined real italian pasta, dripping in olive oil, fresh herbs and seafood, however we got something completely sticky, overcooked, tasteless and unwelcoming. I wonder how these restaurants survive for so long? DONT GO HERE!

  This is our first review/complaint so it may be a bit rusty. Our overall experience at Mama Roma was extremely disappointing. Throughout the course of the evening the waiter was acting as if he was intoxicated. The Calamari entree was inedible as it was drenched in vinaigrette. The Duck main with black cherry and fig sauce had no fig, cold and old vegetables and the duck was so overcooked that I saw into it. After politely notifying the staff of these issues the meal was replaced with one with slightly hotter vegetables and more overcooked duck. We ate our deserts as the restaurant shut down around us at an early 9pm as the bill was dropped on our table,the waitstaff disappeared, there was no one to voice our concerns to. To top off the disappointing meal we stepped outside the door to see our waiter vomiting over himself and the pavement. We followed up with a phone call the next morning to which they were unapologetic and admitted there had been several complaints about the waiter's behaviour. We were not offered any satisfactory compensation.
